Today in the garrison of the Northern Fleet Marine Corps - Sputnik - a new modern kindergarten "Flower City" for children of military personnel and civilian personnel has begun to function. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the command of the Northern Fleet, the regional government and the administration of the Pechenga region.
The new kindergarten will accept 140 children. The three-storey building will house groups for toddlers and preschool children. The groups are equipped with furniture, toys and appliances. Warm floors have been installed for the smallest pupils.
The kindergarten is equipped with a music room, a gymnasium, an art studio for the development of young talents, as well as a speech therapist and a psychologist's offices.
The food block is equipped with modern equipment, specialized workshops for food processing and preparation, and refrigeration chambers.
The kindergarten has six playgrounds with modular playgrounds, swings, sandboxes, carousels and slides.
During the solemn ceremony, Rear Admiral Anatoly Minakov, Deputy Commander of the Northern Fleet for Work with Personnel, noted that with the commissioning of the kindergarten, the need for families of military personnel and civilian personnel of the Northern Fleet marine garrison in places in a kindergarten was fully satisfied.
The construction of the kindergarten began in the summer of 2016 and continued for just over a year. Funds for the construction were allocated from the budgets of the Murmansk region and the Pechenga region.
