In Orenburg, a family will receive 130 thousand rubles of compensation for a block of snow falling on a three-year-old child. This decision was made by the regional court.
The incident took place on February 4, 2020. A three-year-old boy was walking with his grandmother on Vostochnaya Street along a multi-storey residential building. When a child together with an adult was near the post office 36, a block of snow fell on him from the roof of the house. The boy fell down from the blow and lost consciousness. He was admitted to a hospital where he underwent an urgent facial operation.
As a result, the minor's family filed a lawsuit, as they received moral suffering. The courts of the first and the appellate instance took the side of the victims and collected 130 thousand rubles from the defendant LLC “ZhEU-Remstroyservis”.
We add that this year there are also questions about the timely cleaning of streets and adjacent areas from snow. In particular, the head of Orenburg, Vladimir Ilinykh, gave the heads of the Criminal Code a week to eliminate all the shortcomings. The issue is also monitored by the prosecutor's office. Last weekend, the quality of cleaning was checked by the mayor and the prosecutor. Most companies cope with the task, but there are management companies that ignore the comments.
