There are countries where the words "dad" and "mom" are already considered derogatory and offensive, and the official terms are "parent-1" and "parent-2". And the usual bisexual family, according to these ideas, is a relic of the past. As long as countries establish such procedures at home, this is their internal affair. But the problem is that these states consider themselves progressive, their models are the only correct ones, and therefore they seek to impose "new rules" on others. The pressure is also coming through international authorities.

Therefore, the amendments to the Family Code consolidated the priority of the Russian Constitution over international treaties. A fundamental question: Russia does not renounce either its international obligations or compliance with the norms of international law recognized by our country. But theoretical disputes often arise: how to interpret this or that norm from an international treaty. “Our borders are open, families arise, marriages are concluded both between Russian citizens and foreign ones. The alignment of our legislation with the national legal order of other countries is, of course, very important,” stressed Pavel Krasheninnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation. the updated Constitution enshrines norms on the preservation of traditional family values, protection of the institution of marriage as a union of a man and a woman."

At the same time, it is now legally enshrined: if any decisions of international instances conflict with our Constitution, then it is the Constitution that must be adhered to.

Also, the interpretation of the rules of international treaties should not contradict the foundations of law and order and morality. This is also the norm of the new law.

As Pavel Krasheninnikov explained, the sphere of family relations requires special legal regulation. It is dominated by moral principles, which are difficult, and sometimes impossible to fix in the law and even in the Constitution.

For example, we can talk about such issues as same-sex marriage, polygamy, international adoption by a same-sex family, minimum age for marriage, etc.

There are countries where the words "dad" and "mom" are already considered derogatory and offensive, and the official terms are "parent-1" and "parent-2"

On such issues, each country has its own views and traditions, so the legal regulation in this area is very different. Now, in our law, priority is given not only to the norms of the Constitution, but also to domestic family values.

The development and consolidation of the universal concept of "family" in legislation is hardly possible, since the concept of "family" has a different content depending on life situations and on the goals of legal regulation. A family, for example, can be parents with children, or an only parent with a child, or childless spouses, grandparents with grandchildren, etc. etc. There can be many options.
