For a month and a half since the start of the "Become a Champion" project, more than 300 children from the Moscow Region have already been tested, the main task of which is to determine the predisposition to certain sports disciplines, according to the press service of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region.
An experimental innovative project was launched in the Moscow region on February 1, the region became one of the first where the implementation of this program was launched in a pilot mode.
“Become a Champion” is aimed at building a potentially strong sports reserve and developing a sustainable interest in sports among children. In addition, the project will make it possible to raise professional athletes from the very first steps and develop optimal training programs,”the message says.
Together with the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the region, the organizers of the project are actively involved in the development and implementation of a model for the selection of sports gifted children. You can take testing on the territory of the Moscow Region in Mytishchi at the address: Silikatnaya Street, 30 A.
“It is very important not to be mistaken with the choice of sport for a child, because the success of his future career largely depends on this decision. A completely unique and, which is also important, completely free project "Become a Champion" helps to understand the abilities of a novice athlete, - said Roman Teryushkov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region.
According to him, the joint work is aimed at identifying sports talents who need to set the right vector of development.
“The project started quite recently, but it has already helped many children decide on the choice of sport and was highly appreciated by the parents of future champions. The testing is completely free and is aimed at children from six to 12 years old. I would like to note that there is a rather large queue for recording, the demand is high, so parents should keep in mind that the prospect of the next testing may be postponed by a month or more, "Teryushkov said.
