The granddaughter of the famous Soviet psychologist Lev Vygotsky, the author of the Golden Key program, Elena Kravtsova, will give master classes for kindergarten teachers in Krasnoyarsk. The training deals with the principles of working in different age groups. The professor believes that in groups where older and younger pupils arrive at the same time, there is a natural self-development of children.

“Older children take care of the younger ones, help to dress, set the table, put away toys, in the presence of babies they acutely feel their usefulness, feel responsible for them. In turn, younger children value the attention of their elders and strive to imitate them, learn a lot, and feel protected. In addition, the older children, while teaching the younger ones, consolidate the knowledge they have already acquired,”said the press service of the Krasnoyarsk administration about the principle of working in a group for kids from 4 to 7 years old in kindergarten 207.
At the same time, educators need to build an optimal work schedule, when some children sleep more and others less. It also requires special equipment for play areas for children of different ages.
The educational program in such a kindergarten should take into account the interests of older and younger pupils, the Sibnovosti.ru correspondent reports.
The mayor's office noted that they plan to increase the number of groups for children of different ages in Krasnoyarsk kindergartens.
