In Kaliningrad, by the end of the year, the "In vitro fertilization center" is to be commissioned. It will appear on the basis of the regional perinatal center, which, by the way, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this week.
The Regional Perinatal Center celebrates its first big anniversary. The institution was commissioned on September 4, 2009. And the first patient was admitted here on September 13th.
ALEXANDER KRAVCHENKO MINISTER OF HEALTH KALININGRAD REGION:
- Today, although we are 10 years old, we are very adult and independent. This is the flagship obstetric facility in our area. This is the main medical organization where we deal with these issues. Every second child that is born in the area is born within these walls.
For 10 years, 35 674 babies were born in the perinatal center, of which 858 twins and 19 triplets. The last, at the moment, the trinity was born just the other day. All boys. Ali, Aslan and Amin. The names of the children, according to Evgenia's mother, were given by the father. Previously, both parents had twins in the family.
EVGENIYA AGAZADE, TROYSHYASHEK'S MOTHER:
-We were very surprised. Very. We didn't expect it to be honest. The husband was glad. Especially when I found out that there will be three boys.
Since 2014, the center has been operating a remote monitoring center for pregnant women in the high perinatal risk group. About 500 expectant mothers from the region are monitored there every month. In addition, now almost all pregnant women undergo prenatal diagnostics of child developmental disorders. Last year, Maternity Hospital 1 was added to the center.
OLGA GRITSKEVICH, CHIEF DOCTOR OF THE REGIONAL PERINATAL CENTER:
-We are expected to open an IVF department on the basis of the Clinical department. We hope that we will have time to do it in the near future.
Today, the institution has almost all the necessary equipment for the birth and preservation of the health of babies and their mothers. And it is updated regularly. But the main resource is, of course, highly qualified specialists.
