In the Sverdlovsk region, a resident of the city of Irbit Svetlana Kashina blamed the death of her two-year-old child on local doctors. This was reported by IA Ura.ru.
The woman claims that the girl had a fever, a rash appeared on her legs and vomiting began. In the infectious diseases ward, the doctor on duty examined the child and placed the girl in the isolation ward, after which he went to bed, ordering to do the tests in the morning. However, by four o'clock in the morning, the temperature had not subsided, and the rash had spread throughout the body.
“I ran to the nurse once again screaming for help, to which the doctor on duty ran out in my nightgown and asked:“What happened?” - said Kashina.
The girl was transferred to another children's department, where she was diagnosed with meningococcal infection and placed in intensive care. The infectious disease doctor came only at ten in the morning. By this time, the child's body had acquired a purple color, and tears of pink color (ichor) were coming from the eyes.
“Exactly at ten in the morning, my daughter died. As a result of the lack of timely and appropriate medical care in the infectious diseases hospital, precious time was lost to save the child,”the woman said.
The senior assistant to the head of the regional ICR, Alexander Shulga, assured that an inspection is being carried out on the fact of the incident.
In turn, the press secretary of the regional Ministry of Health promised that in case of a complaint, the department will consider this case.
