In the Moscow region, within the framework of the governor's program, 250 modern children's playgrounds have been installed since the beginning of the year, said Deputy Governor of the Moscow Region Dmitry Pestov.
“A total of 250 gaming complexes have been installed. All playgrounds meet modern safety and comfort requirements. The special rubberized surface of the playgrounds protects children from injury. High-quality outdoor lighting has been provided,”Pestov is quoted as saying by his press service.
Among the elements of the new playgrounds are swings (both two-section and with a "nest" suspension), "cobwebs", trapeze, sandboxes and more. For safety reasons, all fasteners are hidden.
“The governor's grounds, installed within the framework of both regional and municipal programs, have become a favorite recreation place for children and their parents. In total, over 5 thousand playgrounds have already been installed and modernized in the Moscow region over the past five years. The work will continue in the future,”Pestov added.
The press service added that local authorities have been tasked to equip all sites with video surveillance cameras connected to the regional system "Safe Region" by the end of the year.
