The State Duma deputy told the details of the bill on new rules for the re-registration of some social payments.

In the Russian parliament, in three readings, the United Russia bill was adopted at once, which provides for the unapproved principle of reissuing payments in connection with the birth of the first or second child and benefits for temporary disability. This was reported by the press service of the RIK NRO party.

“This is the so-called unapproved, proactive format for re-issuing payments, which does not imply the applicant's appeal to the institution, including eliminating the need to inform the institution about the change of place of residence. This format operated in connection with the pandemic from spring to October. And now a decision is being promptly made to extend the remote recertification procedure for beneficiaries until March 1, 2021,”said State Duma deputy Artem Kavinov, explained the parameters of the bill.

He also drew attention to the fact that the new rules apply to several departments.

“The payment for the birth of the first child is carried out by the social security authorities, and the payment for the second is carried out by the Pension Fund. Let me remind you that from January 1, 2020, the threshold of average per capita income required for assigning payments was increased to 2 times the subsistence level. So, today about 17.5 thousand families in Nizhny Novgorod receive payments for the birth of their first child. Its amount is 10 658 rubles. And it is assigned to families whose average per capita income does not exceed 22,496 rubles per person per month,”said the deputy.

He added that an unannounced order is, firstly, convenient for families, and secondly, it is relevant in the context of the autumn rise in the incidence of coronavirus infection.

The draft law was submitted to the lower house of parliament on October 14 by the secretary of the General Council of the party, the first vice-speaker of the Federation Council Andrei Turchak, the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma Sergei Neverov and his first deputy Andrei Isaev.
