MOSCOW, October 20. / TASS /. The Government Commission on Legislative Activities supported a bill to extend until March 1, 2021, the deadline for automatic accrual of monthly payments for the first and second child up to three years. The draft review of the Cabinet of Ministers is at the disposal of TASS.
"The government of the Russian Federation supports the bill," the draft comment says.
The initiative was submitted to the State Duma by the first vice-speaker of the Federation Council, Andrei Turchak, the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Sergei Neverov, and his first deputy, Andrei Isaev. They propose to establish that monthly payments for the first or second child under three years old, which are provided if the size of the family's average per capita income does not exceed two living wages, are automatically extended until March 1, 2021. Such provisions were already in force from April 1 to October 1, 2020, and from October 2, the norm began to work, according to which an application must be submitted to extend the payment.
The reason for this initiative was the need to limit social contacts during the spread of coronavirus infection.
