Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Tatyana Larionova offered to pay compensation to parents for the lack of a place in kindergarten, reports "Tatar-inform".
Tatyana Larionova spoke with this initiative during a round table of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children. The deputy noted that in Russia, after a child reaches 1.5 years of age, support measures are reduced to a minimum. Since one of the most pressing problems today remains the lack of places in kindergartens, Tatyana Larionova offered to pay compensation to one of the parents who is sitting at home with the child for this reason.
“In the absence of places in a preschool institution for toddlers, additional measures of material support for such families are needed, and at the federal level,” said the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.
“I consider it necessary to make appropriate amendments to the current legislation in order to compensate one of the parents caring for the child due to the lack of a place in a preschool educational institution,” said Tatyana Larionova.
Olga Okuneva, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, in response to Larionova's proposal, said that at the federal level it was decided not to send money to a separate family, but to build kindergartens.
