In the online broadcast of the Patriot media group, Astakhov expressed the opinion that the guardianship authorities need to find a balance between protecting children and preserving the family.
“The balance is very simple - to fulfill your duties and make sure that the family helps, and not reinsure, resort, take the child,” he said.
As the expert noted, it is possible to create a fund with partial state participation.
“A single state fund, in which a public council would be such that no one would doubt that these people are honestly distributing,” Astakhov explained.
Earlier, Elena Bibikova, deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, commented in an interview with RT on the proposal of the National Parents' Committee to compensate child support that was not paid to children due to the loss of a job by one of the parents during the period of self-isolation.
