According to the chief physician of the Bashlyaeva hospital, pediatrician Ismail Osmanov, correct diagnosis of celiac disease and the timely appointment of a strict diet contribute to the rapid disappearance of symptoms.
- If a child has already been diagnosed with celiac disease, it is extremely important to regularly monitor the state of health in order to correctly assess the effectiveness of the chosen diet and timely identify possible complications, including a violation of the pace of physical development, the formation of a deficiency of vitamins and microelements, the doctor said.
He recalled the need to monitor the child in order to timely diagnose diseases associated with celiac disease. So, for example, among them may be diabetes mellitus and autoimmune diseases of the thyroid gland.
