He added that the coronavirus in children can often cause multisystem inflammatory syndrome - a severe damage to all body systems. "A striking characteristic of COVID-19 in children is that it affects several vital organs and, above all, the lungs and heart," Osmanov said. According to the latest data, more than 497 thousand people have been infected with the coronavirus in Moscow since the beginning of the pandemic, 7 643 patients have died.
