The head of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, allowed the resumption of food courts, children's playrooms and attractions in the region, which have been closed since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was announced on Thursday by the press service of the regional government.

"Governor Alexander Gusev has agreed to remove restrictions from the work of attractions, children's playrooms and food courts. They will resume work in compliance with all necessary antiquated measures," the press service said.

According to her, children's rooms in shopping centers will be able to work "when there is no more than one child for every 5 sq. M. Of the total area in the institution", the occupancy rate of attractions and food courts should not exceed 50%, the distance between tables must be kept 1, 5 m and install protective screens.

In the Voronezh Region, on March 17, 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a high alert mode was introduced, since then all attractions, children's playrooms and food courts have been closed in shopping centers, food sales in them are only allowed to take away. Since May 12, a mask regime has been introduced in the region, it must be observed in public transport and in all crowded places.

Over the past day, 382 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the Voronezh region, since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of those infected has increased to 57,090, of which 51,255 people have recovered, 1,770 patients have died.
