Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut, State Duma deputy Maxim Suraev and head of the Moscow regional branch of the Young Guard of United Russia public organization Alexander Tolmachev presented the Young Hero medals to two residents of Mozhaisk - Vladimir and Dmitry Bryutov. This award was established on the initiative of MGER in 2018 and is awarded to those who, in a difficult situation, showed courage and courage, saved human lives. Fourteen-year-old Vladimir and sixteen-year-old Dmitry on a pond in the village of Sinichino pulled a peer out of the water, who lost consciousness while swimming and began to drown. The brothers provided the drowning man with first aid and notified the adults about the incident, who called an ambulance. The presentation of medals to Vladimir and Dmitry was held in a solemn atmosphere in the administration of the Mozhaisk city district. “There are many young heroes on the territory of the country, those who performed heroic deeds and provided assistance in a critical situation. To honor young brave men, our organization established a public award - the Young Hero medal. We present certificates for each medal, all awards are numbered. Annually "Young Guard" holds a forum of young heroes, but this time, due to the pandemic, it is impossible to organize a mass event. Therefore, we ourselves come and present medals, thank the heroes for their courage. In my opinion, children who perform heroic deeds already in childhood have a great future and conquest of all kinds of heights,”said Alexander Tolmachev, head of the regional branch of MHER. After the awarding ceremony, the guests had a meeting with the senior pupils of the Mozhaisk Secondary School 2. Maksim Suraev spoke about how he became an astronaut and answered the children’s questions. “I am very pleased with today's youth. Many people say that she is not the same as before, but I believe that modern adolescents are smart, selfless, patriotic, thoughtful. It is only necessary to direct young people on the right path, to show examples to be followed. I wish the children happiness, health and achievement of their goals,”stressed Maxim Suraev. In addition to the establishment of the "Young Hero" medal and the holding of the thematic forum, MHER published the book "The Secret School of Young Heroes". The authors have combined 70 stories of real children's exploits into a fairy tale. In an accessible form, the book tells about the main human values: responsiveness, friendship, love, family, homeland. Also "Young Guard" took the initiative to create the film "No Time for Heroism", which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is freely available on the Internet.
