Due to the coronavirus, stricter restrictions are being transferred in the republics of the North Caucasus. The number of cases is growing, and half of the residents do not follow the mask regime. The day before, the head of Rospotrebnadzor drew attention to this. Marina Sasikova, the correspondent of MIR 24, found out how the local authorities reacted and what residents think about it.
Such a simple and effective measure to preserve the health of others and your own. The head of the Stavropol Territory in his blog asks people to put on masks every day.
“You can't go anywhere without masks. Observe the mask mode. Take care of yourself, and we will not only save ourselves, but we will also allow doctors to work in more comfortable conditions, not even in comfortable ones - not in combat conditions. 30 - 40 ambulances arrive in one hospital a day. It is difficult for doctors,”said the head of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov.
Among the North Caucasian republics, the region is in second place in terms of the number of deaths from coronavirus - already 456 people. Therefore, the authorities had to go for tougher measures. A fine was introduced in the Stavropol Territory. Now, for appearing in a public place without a mask, you will have to pay from one to 30 thousand rubles.
Until now, they tried not to fine the residents in Dagestan and the Chechen Republic. Now the authorities promise to introduce such a measure of punishment for those who do not observe the mask regime and social distance. According to the Dagestan Rospotrebnadzor, almost 80% of people with coronavirus did not use personal protective equipment.
In Nalchik, it is forbidden to appear without a mask in transport, exhibition halls, shopping centers, cafes, canteens, small and large supermarkets. People try to follow the rules, but they want the remedies to be more accessible. “Many of my friends wear masks. Especially when they go to the supermarket. Now you will find masks in the pharmacy for 8-10 rubles. It is not so easy to buy every day, many do not succeed. It might be worth giving out masks for free,”said Ratmir Karov, a resident of Nalchik. “Where you can potentially infect someone, you should wear a mask. Where you are alone, you can be without a mask. No one goes into the shower wearing a mask, no one goes at home wearing a mask, right? But when you are in a minibus and you can infect someone, maybe you are an asymptomatic carrier, it is better to wear a mask. It will be respectful to those around you,”said Nalchik resident Alim Kaziev.
According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, in Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, many still ignore the means of protection in public places.
“Despite the order of the chief sanitary doctor () in some constituent entities of the Russian Federation in public transport, in the shopping center - more than 50% of people go without masks. We have such data for Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Penza region,”Anna Popova said.
So far, they have not announced the introduction of fines in these regions. But virologists say: if the situation becomes critical, more stringent quarantine measures will be replaced by more stringent ones.
The number of cases of coronavirus in the North Caucasian Federal District has exceeded 80 thousand people. Over the past day, more than 600 new cases have been identified, 15 people have died.
