Adult citizens are offered to oblige to pay alimony in the amount of at least 2% of the salary to their disabled parents. Such a bill was submitted to the State Duma by LDPR deputies Vitaly Pashin and Andrei Andreichenko.
If this requirement is not met, then the collection is carried out in court, the bill says.
However, children can be exempted from the obligation to support their parents in need of assistance if the court finds that they evaded parental responsibilities.
Along with alimony, the deputies proposed to give their payers a monthly standard tax deduction for each month of parental support - within 1400 rubles for each of them.
By establishing a deduction, the MPs propose thereby motivating citizens to support their parents who need help.
The Family Code already contains provisions on the obligation of adult children to support their disabled parents. In this case, a specific amount is set individually - by agreement of the parties or in court, the authors indicated in the explanatory note.
