Children often show aggression, and parents should discuss these cases with their children, give children the opportunity to talk about the reasons for such behavior, Irina Vagner, deputy director for research at the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Education of the Russian Academy of Education, told RIAMO.
Earlier, kp.ru reported that a 10-year-old girl in Moscow threw her 7-year-old girlfriend into a trash can. Due to the fall, the youngest girl received a closed head injury. On this fact, the police are conducting a pre-investigation check.
She noted that the only way to save the situation, to ensure the safety of children, to prevent aggression is through education. If parents, teachers, all surrounding adults show the norms of ethics, then the children will adopt them.
“And it’s also important that children do not“hang out”on their own. Children who are involved in sports or creativity, share their worries with their parents, usually do not show aggression,”the specialist emphasized.
According to Wagner, parents should perceive the slightest manifestations of aggression as alarming signals. These cases should be discussed with the child so that he can first reveal the reasons for his behavior. At the same time, it is not worth scolding and prohibiting something - first you need to discuss it.
