PERM, March 27. / TASS /. The National Association for the Development of Education "Notebook of Friendship" opened on Tuesday in the Perm Territory an inclusive camp "New City Druzhny" for the development and adaptation of children with different characteristics. Olga Zubkova, president of the association, told TASS about this.

"There are about 60 people here, 21 of them with disabilities, 17 diagnoses. There have not been such integrated sites yet, so that at the same time, in one place, different children reach the maximum realization of their personal potential, here it is given the opportunity for different children to realize themselves in different directions, our main task is to teach healthy children to communicate with special children, understand them and help them, "she said.

According to Zubkova, the "Druzhny New City" emerged from two previous author's projects: the Vector of Friendship social initiative camp and the Druzhny inclusive camp, but if the previous camps were associated with the adaptation and socialization of disabled people, now different children are involved: refugees and local residents of different nationalities, with or without physical disabilities. In the camp with the children, according to a specially developed practice-oriented program, inclusive volunteers and specialists will work, the programs are aimed at preventing bullying (organized bullying), child cruelty, and consumer attitude to life. During the week, residents of the "New City" will learn how to cook together with chefs, stage author's performances, shoot and edit videos, and most importantly, learn to understand and accept each other. In addition, after the camp, the children will have the opportunity to take part in other inclusive programs of the National Association.

As Svetlana Denisova, Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child in the Perm Territory, told TASS, there is a big problem of communication between healthy children and children with disabilities. “There are times when the school learns that a child has been diagnosed with a developmental disability and tries to transfer him to distance learning because of this. There was a case when parents wrote a statement that they did not want their children to study with their children with disabilities, "- said Denisova.

According to her, "the value of this camp is that it really is inclusion, children with disabilities and healthy children are together."

Ambassadors of the "New City"

Theater and film actor Anton Bogdanov became the official ambassador of the inclusive camp. He came to the Perm Territory for the opening of the first shift together with his eight-year-old son Demyan, who will spend his school holidays here. The boy has been participating in the Friendship Notebooks since the age of four.

"He returns as a very socialized child, he was taught here to tolerance. Today is the first day, and Demyan does not leave the girl Lolita, who is in a wheelchair, rides her everywhere," Bogdanov said.

At the opening of the site, the young ambassador of the project, ten-year-old film actor Daniil Muravyov-Izotov, was also presented. It is he who will present the first results of the "Druzhny New City" inclusive camp at the #INFOCUS International Conference at the UN in Geneva on June 11, 2019.

"I would really like the topic of inclusion to be dealt with and developed more. I believe that almost all special children are very talented and friendly. I really want children to be comfortable everywhere," said Daniel, speaking from the stage at the opening ceremony.

The first shift of the "New Druzhny town" will last from March 26 to March 31, the camp will operate on a paid basis four times a year, next time it will open its doors in July, August and at the end of October 2019.
