NIZHNY NOVGOROD, March 10 - RIA Novosti. A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region received 5 years 6 months in a general regime colony for trafficking in newborns, according to the joint press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
According to the investigation, in 2018, the accused offered a pregnant woman who did not want to raise a child to take her unborn baby. In July 2018, the defendant made a fake passport for a woman in labor by pasting her photo into another woman's document. Then, with the help of a medicine, the woman was called into labor, she was urgently hospitalized in the maternity hospital, where her boy was born.
After that, the documents for the newborn were drawn up according to the submitted fake photocopy of the passport, with which the woman in labor was hospitalized. The child at this time was with the accused. She tried to sell this baby for 300 thousand rubles to a married couple from Moscow, but the deal did not take place for reasons beyond her control. On February 10, 2019, the woman was taken into custody. Her five children, two of whom, according to the results of genetic examinations, she is not a biological mother, were placed in social centers and medical institutions.
"The defendant admitted her guilt on the charges brought against her in full. By the verdict of the Prioksky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod, she was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 5 years 6 months with serving a sentence in a general regime correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force." says the message.
