TASS, 28 August. A criminal case was opened against a 39-year-old resident of Safonov, Smolensk region, who is suspected of killing her six-month-old child. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the regional investigation department of the RF IC.
“Upon the discovery of the body of a six-month-old child in the city of Safonovo, a criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under paragraph 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of a minor”). her measures of restraint in the form of detention, "- said in the message of the website of the investigation department.
According to the investigation, on August 27, the woman, unable to calm down the crying child, put a gag of napkins in his mouth. "After some time, the suspect took the child and saw that he did not show signs of life, after that she called the ambulance, the arriving doctors stated the death of the minor," the press service noted.
The investigators found that the suspect had previously been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility due to improper performance of parental duties and is registered with the prevention authorities.
