Children who lived with their father in the forest in the Kavalerovsky district of Primorye will stay with their grandmother until the renovation is completed in their house, the father of the family will not be restricted in parental rights, Olga Romanova, ombudsman for children in the Primorsky Territory, told RIA Novosti.
The idea of living in the forest until the coronavirus pandemic passes could cost the father of the family, Alexei Ivlev, parting with his children. Romanova reported that the guardianship authorities are preparing a lawsuit to limit his parental rights, but if Ivlev fulfills the requirements for the state of his home, the family can be reunited. According to her, both the children and their father are well characterized.
“Now the children are preparing for discharge. Dad will take them, but since they cannot be taken to the house - there is a renovation in progress, he will hand them over to their grandmother. While the repairs are being carried out, the children will live with her,” Romanova said.
On Monday, she leaves for Kavalerovo to meet with her family and check how the living conditions in their house are changing.
"The guardianship authorities will not sue to limit the father's parental rights. Today, an order has been adopted to invalidate the decision to take away the children … The executive authorities help the father in the repair work," she added.
Earlier, the regional SUSK RF reported that the father and his three young children disappeared in Primorye, they were found in the forest. A law enforcement source told RIA Novosti that the head of the family decided "to wait out the current epidemic situation in the forest." The representative of the administration of the Kavalerovsky district said that the children were removed from the family, they are in the department of the children's clinic. The police drew up an administrative protocol on the man. Ivlev told RIA Novosti that he went with the children to the forest on a hike, which, among other things, provided for self-isolation, the field camp was equipped with a solar power plant, lighting, there was a portable shower, provisions and a fire extinguisher.
