VOLGOGRAD, December 10. / TASS /. A criminal case was opened in the Volgograd region after the death of an 11-month-old boy who crawled out of a private house at night and died on the street from hypothermia, according to the website of the RF IC.

"A criminal case has been initiated on the death of an 11-month-old boy under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (" Causing death by negligence ")," it was reported. The baby's body was found on December 8 on the street near one of the houses of the regional center.
According to investigators, the mother of the deceased child was interrogated, who said that on the eve of the tragedy she drank alcohol in the company of two of her friends and saw off the guests in the morning. The woman claims that all this time her youngest son was in the house. However, a few hours later, when she woke up, she found the boy on the street. By that time, he was already dead.
"According to the neighbour's entourage, the mother of the deceased boy was repeatedly seen in a state of alcoholic intoxication. She had two more children, girls aged three and seven, who are currently placed in a medical institution. Their condition is assessed by doctors as satisfactory," noted in the UK.
All the circumstances and persons involved in the death of the child are being established. It will also assess the actions or inaction of officials of the prevention system.
