Former chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Gennady Onishchenko was vaccinated against coronavirus with a drug developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Research and Development of Immunobiological Drugs named after V. I. M. P. Chumakova of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"[I was vaccinated] for a long time. I was vaccinated with Chumakov's whole virion vaccine. This is a grown real coronavirus, then [inactivated]. And I made myself with two applications," Onishchenko told TASS.
According to him, the vaccination was "adequate to the situation called immunization." This vaccine has not yet been registered, Onishchenko recalled.
“So I took a root and I strongly recommend that everyone do it, especially those at risk - those at risk for medical reasons and at risk for professional activity,” concluded Onishchenko.
