Senior Minister Michael Gove said that the self-isolation regime, which is being introduced in England from November 5 to December 2, may last longer than the specified period. This was reported by the Sky news TV channel. "With such a very dangerous virus, its ability to spread so quickly, it would be foolish to predict with absolute certainty what will happen in the next four weeks," said Gove. He stressed that the country's government has a clear plan of action. It is noted that repeated restrictive measures have already been introduced in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. At the same time, the leader of the main opposition Labor Party, Kir Starmer, believes that the extension of the period of self-isolation may be influenced by the fact that the restriction is introduced too late. He also recommended that the authorities tighter control of infections so that the self-isolation regime really ends in December. In the UK, the total number of coronavirus cases has exceeded 1 million. Earlier it was reported that the country's government decided to impose strict quarantine due to an increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 infections. Thus, all pubs, bars, hospitality and entertainment organizations, and restaurants will be closed. At the same time, they will be able to sell food and drinks to take away or with delivery. Residents of England will no longer be able to travel abroad. Also, the government recommends to temporarily stop moving within the country. Industrial production, the construction sector and courts will continue their work. Schools and universities will continue their education in compliance with security measures. It is noted that citizens will not be prohibited from walking and conducting individual sports in the fresh air. At the same time, services in churches will not be held.
