PYATIGORSK, November 7. / TASS /. Checks are carried out in the sanatorium "Smena" in Kislovodsk, where children who were poisoned on the train en route to Moscow rested. This was reported to reporters on Thursday at the press service of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA), which owns the sanatorium.
"At the moment, control measures are being carried out on the territory of the sanatorium," the press service said.
It noted that now in the sanatorium, no one complains about the deterioration of health. "After the departure of the group from the remaining 260 vacationers of the Smena sanatorium, there were no complaints about the deterioration of their health," the FMBA noted.
Elena Markovskaya, a representative of the Moscow Interregional Investigation Directorate for Transport (MMSUT) of the IC of Russia, reported that a group of 44 children aged 9-14 was traveling by train from the Mineralnye Vody sanatorium to Moscow. On the evening of November 6, eight children complained to their attendants that they were not feeling well, they were given medical assistance at the Rossosh railway station.
Later, another 21 children reported the same symptoms to their attendant; upon arrival in Moscow, 29 children were hospitalized. A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life or health of consumers"). The reasons for what happened are being established.
