Six children from the village of Kerest, Novgorod Region, were unable to continue their education at school in September. It turned out that they simply cannot get to the educational institution, which is located in the neighboring village of Tesovo-Netylskiy. And it was possible to solve this problem only a few days ago.
It is only 10 kilometers to go to the school from the village of Kerest. However, for several years, three of them have led the way through the forest along a narrow dirt road with bumps. It is difficult to drive there even in good weather. As a result, in September, the school abandoned the bus that used to take the children to lessons. Parents, in turn, stopped letting their children go to classes.
But as? Walking or cycling through the forest? Never! This road is often visited by wild boars and bears. And now, on the eve of winter, the beast is running wild and becoming especially dangerous. No, I'm not going to risk my kids

They also refused to carry the guys on their own. Firstly, not all cars can drive along such a road, and secondly, not everyone can afford to constantly spend money on car repairs. For many, the transition to home schooling will not solve the problem either - not all parents will be able to give their children the necessary knowledge. As a result, the villagers sounded the alarm and began to appeal to all authorities with renewed vigor.
Soon, not only the district authorities found out that the children did not attend school. They began to discuss the situation throughout the Novgorod region. And the officials finally decided to help. The road has already begun to be repaired, and the children have been allocated a minibus. “The road workers have already laid the first cushion, and after a while they promise to start laying asphalt. So by the end of November, I hope we will be on a new road. The administration of the Tesovo-Netylsky rural settlement even said that, perhaps, they would put a normal stop so that our children would not get wet in the rain while waiting for the bus. In the meantime, they are taken to and from school by minibus,”said father of many children Dmitry Osipov.
