OMSK, November 1. / Corr. TASS Alexey Petrov /. The teacher who allowed the beating of a 13-year-old teenager in the Omsk boarding school on October 23 was fired for failure to fulfill his duties, Tatyana Bulikhova, a senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Omsk region, told TASS on Wednesday.

"In the course of the prosecutor's check, it was established that this incident became possible due to the violation by the teacher, who did not ensure proper control over the behavior of the pupils, of the job description. The director of the state institution was made a presentation, the teacher was fired, a remark was announced to the deputy director for educational work," she clarified Bulikhova.
According to her, the boy was beaten for breaking his headphones. One of the teenagers filmed what was happening on video, which was later posted on social networks and served as the reason for the audit.
On the fact of the beating of a minor, the investigating authorities opened a criminal case against the employees of the educational institution, who are accused of negligence. Anna Kuznetsova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, announced the need to check Omsk children's institutions in connection with the identification of cases of cruelty towards children and inaction of employees of children's institutions, after which the regional Ministry of Education conducted a check in all 23 adaptive educational institutions of the Omsk region.
