MOSCOW, November 10. / TASS /. The Magadan city court found the former chief accountant of the Federal Migration Service of Russia in the Magadan Region guilty of fraud and official forgery. For the theft of 15 million rubles, the woman received a suspended sentence of three years and two months, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office for the Magadan Region reported on Friday.
"The court of the city of Magadan found the former chief accountant of the Federal Migration Service of Russia in the Magadan Region guilty of committing crimes under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud, that is, theft of someone else's property by abuse of trust, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, using their official position, on an especially large scale) and part 1 of article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (official forgery). The criminal case was considered by the court in a special order, since during the investigation a pre-trial agreement on cooperation was concluded with the accused, "the message says.
The investigation and the court established that from April 2010 to December 2015, the woman, together with the former head, stole money from the payroll fund of the Federal Migration Service of Russia in the Magadan Region for a total amount of more than 15 million rubles.
When sentencing, the court took into account the secondary role of the accused, her active cooperation with the investigation. By a court verdict, the convicted person was sentenced to a cumulative crime of three years, two months of imprisonment conditionally, with a probationary period of three years, with a fine of 200 thousand rubles, with the deprivation of the right to hold positions in the civil service and in local self-government bodies related to the performance of administrative and economic functions for a period of three years.
The court also satisfied the declared civil claim against the defendant in the amount of more than 14.5 million rubles. The verdict of the court did not come into legal force.
The criminal case against the head of the territorial department of the OFMS was separated into a separate proceeding and is currently being sent to the court.
