Mortimer is a French bulldog who has lived with the Shanaan family for a long time. This is a very affectionate dog who always followed his mistress, wherever she went.
He also treated children with love: mom never drove Mortimer away from the kids and always calmly left them in the same room, trusting and believing that nothing bad would happen.

Shanaan began to notice that her dog had been acting strangely lately. He stopped actively running around the house and became reluctant to eat. Are you sick?
One day the girl went to the kitchen to cook dinner, Mortimer, as usual, lay in the nursery by the cribs of the kids. Suddenly Shanaan heard strange sounds coming from the nursery. The girl rushed to the children and saw that the dog vomited. He was lethargic and it was decided to take him to the vet.

The doctor listened to the complaints and examined the patient. After the diagnosis, medications were prescribed and the hostess was delighted that the cause of her poor health had been found. So Mortimer will be well soon.
But the treatment didn't help. The lethargy intensified. The dog stopped coming down from the second floor and completely refused to eat. It was impossible to hesitate and the dog was again taken to the clinic. The doctor decided to take an X-ray and was shocked by what he saw on it! Mortimer's stomach was filled with foreign objects, shaped like baby pacifiers.

When they were removed, the number amazed everyone - there were 19 of them!

And then Shanaan compared the facts - the children's pacifiers were disappearing somewhere and she had to buy new ones, but she thought that they were simply lost.

The story ended well, the girl turned to specialists on time. Now Mortimer feels well and just as actively runs after his mistress around the house.
