In the wake of nostalgia for Soviet times, overwhelmed by officials, organizations and events from which we have long forgotten began to return to the country. For example, at the Moscow school 1534, a reception was held for the pioneers, during which fifth grade students solemnly promised "to live, study and work for the good of the Motherland, to fulfill the laws of the squad, to be helpers to their parents and other adults" and received pioneer ties. Schoolchildren are also accepted as pioneers in a number of other educational institutions.
However, the pioneer organization is not at all as idyllic as it was presented to us on postcards and pictures. In fact, the upbringing of children during the Soviet era was in many ways similar to upbringing in a destructive religious cult. Just as in religious sects, children from a young age began to be fed with the dogmas of faith: in the good grandfather Lenin, in the great role of the Communist Party, in the inevitability of communism and in the fact that Soviet people live in the best country in the world, surrounded on all sides by enemies. … All this was accompanied by strict censorship, which did not allow receiving information from the outside.
The pioneer organization was part of this brainwashing. Created on May 19, 1922, it was aimed at younger teenagers. The first pioneers were taught to hunt for spies, identify "kulaks" and "knock" on relatives if they deviated from the correct course. The tragedy of the pioneer-hero Pavlik Morozov, who denounced his own father and was killed by his uncles, is a natural result of such upbringing.
The desire of the school administration to receive gratitude from the authorities for the report on the revival of the pioneers is understandable, however, parents send their children to schools for the sake of study, and not so that they can be taught to march in formation and give fireworks
