On Sunday, March 4, competitions for large families were held in Izmailovsky Park. The competition was organized by the association of large families of the city within the framework of the project "Healthy Family - Strong Russia".
About two hundred families from different districts of the capital gathered in Izmailovsky Park. About a thousand people took part in the race and almost five hundred showed themselves in ski races.
- We were preparing for today's event for the sake of sports interest and a festive mood for our children, - confessed the mother of five children Veronica Grinberg.
The sports competition consisted of two parts. The first is a walking race, the second is a ski race. Families with children aged four and older joined the competition.
For the smallest, the distance was only 300 meters. For children from 8 to 10 years old - 500 meters. The older ones, who are from 11 to 17 years old, were offered a distance of one kilometer.
Well, the eldest parents, of course, had to work hard. They had to run 1.61 kilometers.
Each of the participants in the race received gifts.
