Mahmoud Nuri, deputy for health issues at the Shahid Sadugi University of Medical Sciences in Yazd, announced the recovery of a newborn child infected with coronavirus, Kazinform reports with reference to IRNA.
“Amir Arsalan (newborn baby) currently weighs one kilogram and 200 grams and receives 15 milliliters of milk every three hours,” he said.
Much of this recovery is the result of the efforts of nurses and doctors in the neonatal intensive care unit at Shohada Kargar Hospital, he said.
“As a doctor, I am glad that dear Arsalan and his mother have recovered,” he said.
In Iran, according to official statistics, of the 90,000 people with the virus, about 70,000 have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
