The basic rules of the project remain the same - young skaters under the guidance of mentors will go out on the ice to show all their skill and skill in figure skating and ice dancing. One of the surprises will be the duet of the hosts - Alexei Yagudin and Alla Mikheeva.
“In 2018, our TV show won the TEFI statuette as the best television project about sports, and we decided to shoot the second season,” says the producer of the Ice Age. Children”Ilya Averbukh. - Now many more children have come to the casting than last year. Now the project has reached the international level, they are interested in it in other countries: we are sent video for casting from America, Japan, Germany. This year we also changed the rules a little: girls will compete with girls, boys - with boys, dancers - with dancers. Each of the mentors will recruit three teams in each of the disciplines.
The mentors remained the same: Tatiana Navka, Roman Kostomarov, Maxim Trankov and Ilya Averbukh. The jury was again headed by the strict but fair Tatyana Anatolyevna Tarasova.
“Figure skating is one of the best and most real sports,” says the honored coach of the USSR. - It is very important that the whole country watches the program and loves it.
Co-host of Ivan Urgant in the program "Evening Urgant" Alla Mikheeva in 2014 participated in the adult version of "Ice Age" and, together with Maxim Marinin, became one of the finalists of the project. The next season, Alla was already leading along with Alexei Yagudin. And now Mikheeva will also lead the “Ice Age. Children".
- I am very glad to be next to Lesha again and immediately surrounded by a large number of talented children, - says Alla. - Children are what I have always strived for. Lyosha has two of them, but I don't have them. And then suddenly there are a lot of them! And they don't need to be taught anything: they know how to stand on skates, and they skate better than me. Finally, my dream has come true - many children and no responsibility for them!
And the father of two daughters, Alexei Yagudin, in turn, said what he likes most of all to do on this project.
“My favorite part of the job is interviewing children,” he says. - You never know what little athletes who are just starting their long journey will answer.
