At the school of the village of Khetovo (Arkhangelsk region) a presentation of the book "Their childhood was scorched by fire by a great war" took place. It is dedicated to those who went through the Great Patriotic War as children.
“It is no coincidence that the fate of these people - children of war - appeared on the pages of this book. The heroes of these difficult stories are our fellow villagers. We wanted not only close and relatives, but also the younger generation to know about their difficult life,”the authors emphasized.
According to them, the publication includes stories from residents of the villages of Khetovo and Ryazanovo, the villages of Morzhegori, Gora, Shastki and Uyta.
It is noted that the author of the work, teacher-historian Tatiana Maksimova, has been collecting stories for a collection for more than ten years. The first were the memories of the grandparents of her students.
In addition, the author wrote down many stories herself when she “went home with a notebook”.
In total, children and teachers collected 45 stories of children of the war and their relatives.
The book, which has a circulation of 300 copies, will be handed over to rural and school libraries, Dvinovazhye reports.
Earlier it was reported that the best works about the children of war were selected. The diaries of the children of the war revived.
