A sports festival was organized at the Sokol stadium for children with special needs. Master classes for children were held by sports stars, tennis player Vera Dushevina and pentathlete Alexander Lesun.
Igor is a special child in the Ivanov family. He recently learned to read and write, albeit with mistakes so far. They specially came to the game "Young Athlete" from Zelenograd.
Dancing as a warm-up before the competition. Divided into teams and into battle: trampoline, jumping, ball game and mini-version of golf. The stars of television and sports help the children overcome the obstacle course.
“We need to get out more often to such events, because the child felt good here today, he participated everywhere, he was not in any way constrained, he made contact with everyone, everyone is glad to see each other,” said Maria Ivanova, mother.
The teams included children, both from general education schools and from specialized ones. Tennis player Vera Dushevina took the youngest group for herself. The guys immediately fell in love with their captain and followed all the commands of the mentor.
“I love children very much, I work with children, so I was pleased. This is a very interesting experience, I am only for such events to be held,”said Vera Dushevina, a tennis player.
Sports game "Young Athlete" for children from 3 to 9 years old. This is one of the special Olympus global movement programs for children with disabilities. Its creator is Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Now there are 3 million participants in this Olympic movement from 190 countries of the world. And in Russia there is a special Olympiad. World Games are held every 4 years.
There are no losers here. Every child is a winner. Igor Sereda, like all children, received a diploma and gifts. The boy is already preparing for the next game. The Young Athlete will again gather children and their parents at one of the Moscow stadiums in May.
