As previously reported, the children were found on April 26 and hospitalized. According to the regional prosecutor's office, children from a garbage-filled apartment in Stavropol were hungry and emaciated. Things, furniture and children's accessories were scattered around the apartment, there was no food, the children slept with their parents on the same sofa bed without bedding, the department reported. The Ministry of Health of the region noted that the girls came to the doctors in a very unkempt condition, without traces of beatings, one of them had a delay in speech development and acute rhinitis. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health of the region, the girls feel great and continue to stay in the hospital.
A criminal case was initiated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor by a parent, if this act is connected with cruel treatment of a minor." The head of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, reported that the girls' parents had put the apartment in order.
"The children will be determined after the hospital. This is the responsibility of the guardianship and guardianship authorities. We recommended, taking into account the young age, taking into account the stress that children have experienced, to consider the issue of transferring children to a family of close relatives, because at the moment it is not possible to transfer children to the family., due to the fact that a criminal case has been initiated on the veil of child abuse - in this case, the parents of the children are not returned, "Adamenko said.
According to her, the girls have grandparents who visited the children in the hospital and kept in touch with them. “We recommended that the guardianship authorities consider the possibility of transferring children to the blood family. There are grandfather and grandmother who maintained relations with them and visited them in the hospital and, in our opinion, quite worthy people. Other questions … the psychological portrait of the family of grandparents, their opportunities will be to be studied by specialists of the guardianship authorities, the Ombudsman added, noting that in the next week or two this issue will already be resolved.
Adamenko said that the girls' parents will be deprived of parental rights if the court finds them guilty of child abuse.
"But they still have the right to restore their parental rights, this is a very long way. But they also have such a possibility. This family was not in the field of view of social bodies, the average normal family. What happened there, what prompted them, is still the question has no exact answers, "- added the agency's interlocutor.
