The Leninsky District Administration recently hosted an award ceremony for former employees of Polyclinic 18, timed to coincide with the institution's anniversary. Elena Aksenova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Novosibirsk Region, was personally present there.
73-year-old Siberian woman Tamara Golovkina worked as a procedural nurse for 55 years, for which she received an honorary diploma and one chrysanthemum, because of which she felt insulted and humiliated.
The woman noted that she did not particularly count on expensive gifts, but she did not expect to receive such gratitude for her many years of work in medicine.
The pensioner quit her job last week, because of her age it was already difficult for her to cope with the load. The woman's family hoped that their relative would be given at least a decent bouquet of flowers at the ceremony.
Commenting on the woman's words, the clinic said that the initiative for the award belonged to the institution itself, and there is no money for gifts.
Perhaps the Ministry of Health of the Novosibirsk Region will soon clarify what award a person is entitled to for 55 years of work in the field of medicine.
