The incidence rate among the total population in the Moscow region from December 30, 2017 to January 5, 2018 is 54.9% lower than the estimated epidemic thresholds. This was reported by the press service of the department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Moscow region.

“In the period from December 30, 2017 to January 5, 2018 (1 week), 17 thousand 76 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in the territory of the Moscow region, among children under 14 years old - 11 thousand 682 cases of acute respiratory viral infections. The incidence rate among the total population in 1 week of 2018 is 54.9% lower than the estimated epidemic thresholds, and 73.2% lower among children under two years of age. In the age group from three to six years, the incidence rate is lower by 65.6%, among children from seven to 14 years old is lower by 67.4%, and in the age group from 15 years old and older, this indicator is below the threshold level by 65.9% , - the message says.

It is specified that in two municipalities in the total population, an excess of the threshold incidence rates was registered: in Zvenigorod by 44.8% and in the Shatursky district by 10.6%. In the age group up to two years, the threshold levels were exceeded in the Dmitrovsky district by 4.6%. Among children from three to six years, exceeding the threshold levels of morbidity was not registered. Among children from seven to 14 years old, the excess of the epidemiological threshold was registered in the Odintsovo district by 5.5% and in the Shatura district by 29%. In the age group of 15 years and older, the threshold level was exceeded by Lytkarino - by 16.7%.
