Political knowledge should be inculcated in adulthood, it should not be imposed on children, the poet and translator Yunna Moritz told the VZGLYAD newspaper.

In Russia, a "childish" version of the Constitution in verse and pictures has been developed. The book consists of 121 pages, where the basic rights and obligations of Russians are stated in poetic form. The manual was created for optional classes on the study of the Constitution in primary grades.
“I am against the politicization of children from kindergarten. I do not think that children should be loaded with political knowledge. They will need them much later, at an older age, when their development reaches such maturity that political knowledge will not be an official burden for them, but will be something closer and understandable,”Moritz said.
After reviewing excerpts from the book, the poetess noted their low artistic value. “Poems worthless, graphomaniac. They are written on the knee by people who do not know how to handle poetry, do not know its properties. Poetry is a very high art, which, in a sense, has geomagnetic properties due to its rhythms, allegories and ambiguity of words,”says Moritz.
Experts from the Federation Council, the Association of Lawyers of Russia, the Strategy for the Future Foundation and the Institute for the Development of Local Communities took part in the work on the Children's Constitution.
