The Sverdlovsk Prosecutor's Office asks the Leninsky District Court to deprive a resident of Asbest for 20 years, who is accused of killing two small children and attempting to kill a third, reports on Monday, December 4, the correspondent of AiF-Ural.
In December 2015, an eight-year-old child was admitted to a hospital in Yekaterinburg. Despite the fact that the baby's condition caused serious concern among doctors, his mother refused to be hospitalized and insisted on home treatment. Concerned about the situation, the doctors turned to law enforcement agencies for help.
The agency organized a check, which showed that the mother systematically gave her child a drug containing the components of rat poison, in a dosage that was 30 times higher than the standard dose for the baby. At the same time, the medicine was not prescribed by a doctor.
Later, the prosecutor's office found out that before that, the woman had already died with similar symptoms, two children. For several years, the mother gave her children a drug containing rat poison, knowing that it is difficult to diagnose and can lead to death in case of an overdose.
The negligent mother has already been charged under the articles "Murder of two minors" and "Attempted murder of a young child." The prosecutor's office insists on the maximum possible punishment - 20 years in prison. The Leninsky District Court will deliver the verdict on December 8.
