“In 2019, 15 annexes to kindergartens will be erected in Transbaikalia, which will create 540 places for children under the age of three. New places will be created within the framework of the state program "Development of Education in the Russian Federation". For these purposes, the Trans-Baikal Territory will receive 363 million rubles from the federal budget, 23 million rubles will be allocated from the regional budget,”the statement says.

According to the press service, in 2018, thanks to the implementation of this program, 576 additional places for children under three years old were introduced in Transbaikalia. And if in 2018 the extensions were erected only in Chita, the village of Aginskoye and the Aginsky district, then in 2019 they will appear in seven municipalities of the region.

As TASS clarified in the Ministry of Education of the Trans-Baikal Territory, in total in the region it is necessary to create more than 6 thousand places for children under three years old. At the same time, 2.6 thousand places will be created under the national project "Demography".

The Trans-Baikal Territory in 2017 did not fulfill the program of eliminating the queue for kindergartens for children from three to seven years old. The former governor of the region, Natalya Zhdanova, promised Russian President Vladimir Putin by the end of 2018 to eliminate the queue for kindergartens for children over three years old. According to data provided by TASS in the regional Ministry of Education, now 95% of children aged three to seven years are provided with places in kindergartens in the Trans-Baikal Territory.
