The second wave of coronavirus in the Russian Federation was discussed back in mid-summer 2020. Despite all the warnings, many citizens began to forget about precautions and personal hygiene. Now people aged 65 and over remain in the zone of particular risk of infection, but more attention should be paid to children's health. Olga Zabralova, First Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government, spoke about the precautions for children in schools. Precautions for children While younger generations are less at risk of infection, schoolchildren should also take basic precautions. Simple rules will minimize the consequences and significantly reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus. Olga Zabralova spoke about several rules that educational institutions and every student must follow. First, today, every school must have a morning filter. This is the name of a special monitoring system for the health of children. Verification activities begin in the morning even from the doorstep of the educational institution. School officials are required to screen all children for primary signs of illness. If a child has a fever, cough, or other symptoms, they should be sent home immediately. In addition, after returning home, children with symptoms of the disease should be called a doctor who can diagnose. If the symptoms match those of COVID-19 infection, the baby should be tested. At the same time, Olga Zabralova noted that the child screening system should work not only in the morning or in the evening, but throughout the day. All students, teachers, and visitors to the educational institution must measure their body temperature throughout the day. Social distance and masks In addition to the “morning filter” system, children and adults should try to comply with the norms of social distance. All entrances and exits from the educational institution should be open so as not to form a crowd of people. There should also be a system of restrictions on movement around the school. To reduce the risk of infection, students should wait for teachers in the classroom, rather than wandering around classrooms on their own. These measures should be in effect during the entire period of the spread of the coronavirus in the country. Today, the situation in Russia remains tense, so teachers in schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions should pay more attention to precautionary measures. If citizens observe the mask regime on a mass scale, as well as social distance, we will be able to avoid the introduction of severe restrictions.
