The head of the Middle Urals, Evgeny KUYVASHEV, after a long renovation, launched the rehabilitation treatment unit at full capacity at the Children's City Hospital 9.
In the main clinic of Yekaterinburg, 12 thousand young patients from all over the region undergo rehabilitation every year, so doctors, children and their parents were impatiently waiting for the completion of the repair and reconstruction here.
“Today is really a festive day: the renovation of the rehabilitation department of the Nine is completed. This is the event that everyone was waiting for, - said Yevgeny Kuyvashev. - Very good conditions have been created here for rehabilitation treatment. Unfortunately, all children get sick sometimes. But I am very glad that we have created opportunities to improve our health."
The charitable foundation "Children of Russia" helped to reconstruct the department, which the governor sincerely thanked, and together with him - the doctors of the "nine" for their daily work.
Alexander Yakob added on his own that there are no secondary directions in medicine and the "rehabilitation" department, for which the most modern conditions have now been created, was and remains the most important link in the treatment of children.
The hospital says that almost all patients of the Children's hospital, including children with severe injuries and burns, come to the department, which has been operating for more than 30 years. Physiotherapy alone - massage, heat therapy and physiotherapy sessions - annually doctors carry out about 70 thousand. For a long time, doctors did not have enough pool - its bowl became unusable over the years of operation. Now the pool, as well as refurbished shower rooms with changing rooms, are waiting for little patients.
The restoration of the rehabilitation department began in 2017. In a few months, all the treatment rooms, the physical therapy hall were repaired, the roof was reconstructed, and the walls were painted with different drawings. The cost of the work exceeded 13.5 million rubles.
Before that, in 2015, the department had a system of guided halotherapy ("salt room") for patients with impaired respiratory function. However, the rehabilitation of children is established not only in Yekaterinburg. Small residents of Asbest, Serov, Pervouralsk and Kamensk-Uralsky can count on it, the governor assured. Moreover, the Sverdlovsk Region became one of the first regions where medical rehabilitation of children with cancer is carried out.
