Today, November 3, in the Children's City Clinical Hospital 9 in Yekaterinburg, the grand opening of the modernized rehabilitation department with a swimming pool took place.
The pool, where physical therapy was carried out, was here before, but in recent years it was completely unusable. And the hospital, and, accordingly, the department for more than 30 years, everything is pretty dilapidated. If in the hospital itself repairs were carried out at the expense of budgetary funds, then they were not enough to restore the rehabilitation department. The charitable foundation "Children of Russia", established by UMMC, and the company itself came to the rescue.

Over the year, the rehabilitation department has radically changed. It is, in theory, the final link in the work of all departments of the hospital and now rehabilitation here will be carried out at a new quality level. The renovated swimming pool was especially delightful for children and doctors. There will be no sports competitions, but water procedures are necessary for many diseases.
In general, children with severe traumatological and burn injuries, with surgical pathology, diseases of the nervous system, eyes, respiratory system, digestive system and kidneys are also helped here. Annually, the department provided about 70 thousand different physiotherapy procedures, now, thanks to the new purchased equipment, there will be more of them.

The halotherapy room (salt room) has been completely transformed for the treatment of asthma and the restoration of the respiratory system. As new, the rooms for physiotherapy, physiotherapy exercises have become, everything here has become somehow bright, festive. One feels that this is really a holiday for the hospital. And Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev, his deputy Pavel Krekov, general director of UMMC-holding Andrey Kozitsyn, and acting director of the UMMC-holding came here to congratulate him. The "nine" treats 22 thousand children a year and, although the hospital is a city one, almost half of its patients with serious illnesses and injuries come from the region, Andrei Kozitsyn said. Including through disaster medicine.
In general, a few lines should be said about the hospital. Almost all the children of Yekaterinburg were treated here. I tried it on myself - both my daughters were treated here and all the grandchildren visited. So almost all families in the city know this multidisciplinary hospital.
