The deputy of the regional parliament Mikhail Matveev (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) introduced a legislative initiative to include the children of teachers in the priority list when enrolling in an educational institution where parents work.

“I introduced a draft Federal Law on benefits for children of teachers when they enroll in a school where parents work. Otherwise, we have a preferential queue for the children of judges, prosecutors and other "socially unprotected", and the children of the teachers of this school themselves - for a common "button." I think it is wrong, "wrote Matveev on Twitter.
In an explanatory note addressed to Gennady Kotelnikov, chairman of the Samara Provincial Duma, the deputy explains his initiative by the fact that pedagogical workers often face problems when placing their own children in the school where they work. In the same case, if the child is in another school, and it is far away, the teacher has to spend a lot of time to take the child to the beginning of classes and then get to his own school.
“This creates obvious inconveniences for children and parents, and therefore does not contribute to strengthening the family. This fact adversely affects the solution of the demographic problem in the country,”Matveev said.
In his address, the deputy appeals to federal legislation that protects the interests of children and families.
