Speaking at the NSN press conference, Vitaly Milonov said that it is necessary to deprive parents of parental rights who dress their children in TSUM, one of the expensive Moscow stores where customers are offered clothes of the most prestigious world brands. According to Milonov, the purchase of expensive children's clothing demonstrates the stratification of society in terms of income and is unacceptable. The legislator was outraged by the TSUM advertising campaign, in which parents were invited to buy clothes for schoolchildren. According to Milonov, schoolchildren should wear school uniforms so that the difference in family incomes is not noticeable.
“Boots - 30 thousand rubles, satchel - 30 thousand This is a disgrace. Parents who dress their children at TSUM should be deprived of parental rights"
Milonov said, adding that he had already sent his initiative to the Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva.
Vitaly Milonov (born 1974) was elected from the United Russia party to the State Duma in 2016 in the 218th Southern single-mandate constituency of the city of St. Petersburg and is a member of the State Duma's international affairs committee.
