A two-year-old boy was hospitalized for drug poisoning. The incident took place in the village of Luch in the Prioksky district of Nizhny Novgorod, which for many years was known for drug dealerships.
According to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the child was taken to the children's city hospital 1.
The hospital received information that a child born in 2018 with drug poisoning was delivered to them, '' the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also said that a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the illegal acquisition, storage and manufacture of narcotic drugs. An investigation is currently underway, RIA Novosti reports.
