The number of children with autistic disorders in the region is growing every year. But it was quite difficult to make the correct diagnosis. Neither parents nor kindergarten teachers often pay attention to the withdrawal or unusual behavior of the child for this age, and there are simply not enough specialist defectologists.

Autism is a mental disorder that occurs due to impaired development of the brain. The child does not communicate with others, his interests are limited, he often repeats monotonous actions. These signs begin to appear before the age of 3 years.
Specialists of the medical university issued a special memo for parents, which explains when you need to be alarmed and go for testing. It says that you need to go to specialists if your child is in early childhood:
- does not respond or rarely responds to his name;
- constantly or often behaves as if he does not hear that you are addressing him;
- cannot pronounce two or three coherent words by the age of two;
- does not smile or rarely smiles at other people;
- does not point a finger at objects.
A child with autism can appear in any family, regardless of the health, status, or well-being of the parents. And the sooner doctors give recommendations on treatment and behavior correction, the easier it will be for parents to adapt themselves and adapt their child to life in society.
Therefore, the emergence of the possibility of early diagnosis is really important. A special screening test allows you to identify the risk. It is recommended to pass it to parents of babies from one and a half to 2.5 years. Only 20 short questions allow specialists to assess the risk of developing pathology.
“On January 9, our pilot project for the early detection of autism will start,” Aleksey Nikonov, press secretary of Privolzhsky Medical University, told NN. RU. - While such consultations will be available free of charge in children's polyclinics 22 and 48 and polyclinics at children's hospitals 25 and 27 "Aibolit". The doctors of these polyclinics were specially trained by PIMU specialists in testing and diagnostics. This practice will continue so that the doctors of each children's polyclinic can conduct such consultations.
By the way, supermodel Natalia Vodianova has long been involved in helping children with autism.
